Down the memory lane

So it happened....trip down the sweetest memory lane. Thanks to my lovely roomie who happens to be working in Infy Hyd. Because of her i got to visit the lovely campus.

So last week when i entered the hyd campus, i was so excited to see and feel what i will always miss.
I was to nostalgic to sign the visitors register while entering the campus, never thought i would get to relive the feeling of seeing again .....Larger than life campus , awesome buildings, 5star hotel like facilities, gym, sports area, cycling around the campus, hold the big Ozone umbrella and not to forget the grandest food courts.

Infy was the first company i joined and it is the place where i had made some of my dearest friends ever . That's the reason which makes it all the more special. Although i have left infy more than a year back but it is literally impossible not to recollect my heavenly experiences since the time i joined the company. That's what happened when i entered INFY hyd campus.....trip down the sweetest memory lane.

History Unturned

It happened on one of those very frequent trip to my home town Bhopal , i went there for my mom's birthday celebration. Few of my realtives had come ...so as it happens always we went for some sight seeing around the city. Although i had been to almost all the places around my city but recently a very nice statue of a great king called Raja Bhoja was put up in Upper Lake of Bhopal . The statue is very sweet and nicely made .....though the king was short heighted but was well maintained with six packs :).......

He is the same king which many people have already heard of as the famous idiom "kahan Raja Bhoja and kahan Gangu teli".

I came to know an interesting fact which i never knew......it is believed that the big lake called Upper lake in bhopal was built by him but no concrete proofs exist which proves the same. The formation of Upper Lake also called Bada Talab is a geographical phenomena and no proof is available which proves it is was made by Raja Bhoja

It really may not matter to the people of bhopal wheather the lake was constructd by him or not ....then also his statute stands tall besides the lake and is a part of cities very rich heritage.

Found the visit an enriching and fun experience.

Passion Revisited .....

It has been 8 years since i revisited one of my favourite interests ....drawing and painting. When i was small painting classes was one of my first recreational activity . My mom had sent me to those classes just to learn and engage myself in some better activity than watching TV at home. I never knew that i would take such interest in painting and drawing, thanks to those classes that i was able to draw good diagrams at school :) and had to continue my legacy for drawing diagrams for my brother too.
Being in a IT job ....and with days full of uncalled work and masti with friends, one rarely gets time to pursue one's passion . That's one reason i blame for not doing the thing which i like most. So recently i decided to draw and paint few stuff.

It really took my mind off things and helped a ton to remove my boredom on weekends :)

The Next Big Change

Wanted to pen down dis for a long time...but could'nt sync all the randomness of my mind...here it goes......The Next Big Change....
The time i left infy and was about to switch to new place new company, i already knew that life would not be as easy as it was in Pune. I had lot of friends around me, never lonely to solve any issue or problems , my friends , teammates were always there to help me and guide me and i do owe them loads and loads of thanks for always being there for me.
When i came to hyderabad, i had already prepared myself for the worst...no friends around, new place, new roomates, new office, language gap, climate change(Bcoz hyd is really really hot) and all worst things possible. But I never imagined what was in store for me. From the time i landed on Hyd airport i really liked the place , airport itself was too grand and big and after that it was just exploring time in the new city....
My new company Pegasystems gave me 2 weeks accomodation in a classy hotel....i just never imagined that i was going to get some share of my good luck...i got the biggest and grandest room of the hotel all to myself :) for two weeks i enjoyed my stay and constatly had a feeling that im on vacation and i just enjoyed it.

The first day at office was good, the welcome itself felt warm and friendly. I was introduced to my frameworks team. I was the 10th joinee in that team . It was altogether a wired feeling to wards the office which just comprised of a floor, only 100 people ...i was used to see thousands of employees at infy and after coming from a big company Infosys which itself depicts a picture of 'Larger than Life' , so at Pega the office world felt very small. It took me months to get used this feeling. I was going to work in a place where i would find people who are much much senior in industry experience , initialy the feeling was scary but as the days went by it was just like working in infy with variety of people around.

After conquering the anxiety of starting in a new company and new office collegues , the next big task was to find a good house and especially good roomates. Somehow everything turned out to be most awsome...i got a very nice house in a posh locality and my dream wish my type of roomies, although i must say my roomates were a mix of simple and wild characterstics, few were ultra modern and few were mildly simple. Altogether the stay with them has turned out to be nice , the only mantra followed in my house is 'Live and let live' and it has turned out to be awsome till now.

The next big task ahead was to keep myself busy and entertained. So one of the happiest moments was when i bought my own Sony Bravia LCD TV :). It was the only friendly thing which kept me out of my weekend boredom :).....The other proud moment was when i learned car driving and mom and dad had sent our Alto here for me. To have a car in dis big city was a dream come true. Although initially i was very scared to drive in the awful city traffic. But thanks to a very good friend who helped me to overcome my initial drive fears and gave a little boost up to my low lying driving skills....It took me couple of weeks to get appropriate confidence at the driving wheel, and now i drive my car everyday to office :)

I feel even though i so damm miss the awsome life which i had in pune , my caring friends, partying , the uncountable movies at E-square and most amazing hectic life at infy....i did not get the worst i expected in Hyd.
I made some very good friends here , learned new things and learned some sweet-bitter life lessons. One thing i know this change definately made me a little more tough person than i was before.
